Major injury collision on Hwy 12

    May 28, 2025 at 12:25 PM:  A collision has been reported on Hwy 12 at Central Hill outside San Andreas.

   A truck pulling a trailer overturned. Major injuries are indicated. An ambulance is responding. Three CHP are at the scene.

Control burn at New Hogan

    On May 30, 2025 Calfire will conduct a control burn of grasses around New Hogan in Valley Springs.

   Approximately 12 acres will be cleared in that area.

Cement spill on Hwy 108

     May 28, 2025 at 10 AM:  A cement truck has reportedly dumped a lot of cement on Hwy 108 at Obyrnes Ferry Road in Jamestown.

   County roads and Caltrans have been notified.

Fire in Sonora

    May 28, 2025 at 10 AM:  A grass fire has been reported on Hwy 108 at Chicken Ranch Road in Sonora.

   Fire personnel are responding to the scene.

Collision in Copperopolis

    May 26, 2025 at 12:45 PM:  A silver KIA and a black Toyota have reportedly collided on Feather Drive near the Rocket Gas Station.

   No injuries have been indicated. A tow truck is responding.

Calfire burning in Burson

    On May 27-29, 2025 Calfire will be conduting a control burn in the Burson area.

    This will be near Camanche Parkway and Patterson Road.

Collision in Copperopolis

    May 24, 2025 at 8:15 AM:  A traffic collision has been reported on Reeds Turnpike near Main Street in Copperopolis.

   An ambulance is responding to the scene. One vehicle has front axle damage.

Collision in Jenny Lind

    May 23. 2025 at 3:45 PM:  A collision has been reported at Milton Road and Jenny Lind Road in Jenny Lind.

   Both lanes are blocked an ambulance is responding to the scene.

Investigation into shooting death of student

    May 21, 2025:  The Angels Camp Police Department were called to a residence in Angels Camp due to a shooting.

Angels Camp doesn't want MORE taxes

    Mark Twain Elementary School District attempted to get a parcel tax added to residents to aid the school district with Measure A.

    It needed a 2/3 approval and did not succed.  Guess Angels Camp doesn't want more taxes.

Toyota overturned outside Valley Springs

    May 19, 2025 at 4:20 PM:  A Toyota RV4 is reportedly overturned into the drainage ditch at Messing Road and Wilke Road outside Valley Springs.
